Can I take powdered Citric Acid to aid in Asborption of Supplements, Vitamins, Herbs & Minerals?

After reading a suggested dosage for L-Arginie the instructions stated to drink a carbonated drink for better absorption. I'm not a fan of soda pops and most of the times they go flat by the time I finish drinking one. So could Citric Acid replace that process? Can I take powdered Citric Acid to aid in Asborption of Supplements, Vitamins, Herbs %26amp; Minerals?
Personally, I don't recommend drinking carbonated beverages with pills because you're more likely to burp and taste what's in the pill (which is often unappetizing and L-Arginine is no exception).

That being said, you could take the Citric Acid and it might help some minerals a little bit, but not as much as if the minerals were already mixed with the Citric Acid beforehand. They wouldn't be mixed together well enough or long enough to make a huge difference, but it might help a little and the extra Vitamin C (within certain limits) would be good for you anyway. Go for it!
