How could you determine whether a white powder was zinc sulphide or sodium carbonate using hydrochloric acid?

its a hydrochloric acid solutionHow could you determine whether a white powder was zinc sulphide or sodium carbonate using hydrochloric acid?
in case of sodium sulphide brisk effervescence of CO2 will occur, which is colorless and odorless,

Na2CO3 + HCl = 2NaCl + CO2 + H2O

But in case of ZnS, an effervescence of H2S having a smell of rotten egg will occur.

ZnS + 2HCl = ZnCl2 + H2S
