magnesium is a solid you don't want to put it in a fire it also get turn into a powder it also get used in fire works that what make the sparks and if there is a magnesium fire you don't want to use water on itIs magnesium a liquid or solid powder at room temp?
Magnesium is a solid at room temperature in its pure state. It is not necessarily a powder, though. Magnesium only comes in a powder or ribbon state when it is meant to be burned for its brilliant white light(it used to be used as flash powder). Other uses of magnesium include mixing it with aluminum to form an alloy that is used in the aptly named Mag-Wheels.
